For anybody planning to attend this year’s Suffolk Dog Day, on Sunday (29th July), the organisers have taken the very sensible decision to cancel it for this year due to concerns about ongoing high temperatures. Thank you to all concerned for putting our beloved dogs’ safety first and foremost. Here’s their message posted on social media:
“Dear Woofers, some really sad news about Suffolk Dog Day 2018. I’m afraid due to considerable concerns for everyone’s safety in these prolonged hot and dry conditions we have reached the very difficult decision to cancel this year’s event. This is the first time this has ever happened. We know you will understand that we always put you and your dogs safety first as we have today. Finally, just two things from us. Please please can you help us spread the word about this sad news and please do come and join us at Helmingham Hall next year for the best, biggest and safest Suffolk Dog Day ever. Thank you everyone and we look forward to seeing you and your gorgeous dogs very soon.”
