Felixtowe Walk

6 Greyhounds and their owners braved the weather and joined us for our walk in Felixtowe today.

Thank you to Nigel and Charlotte for leading the walk along the waters edge and to Volunteers Bryan and Gil for providing plenty of cool drinking water.

Our next walk will be on the evening of 28th July in Shotley.

Meet at Shotley Marina near the Shipwreck bar and restaurant for a 7pm start. Let’s hope it’s a bit cooler!

Gus and Mindy Have a Day Out

On Sunday we had our monthly walk and this time we went to Frinton. We were joined by the lovely Gus (Wearing the orange muzzzle) and Mindy(Wearing the yellow muzzle) who are looking for homes and they were so well behaved seeing lots of other dogs and humans. They made lots of new friends and were fantastic ambassadors. The weather was fantastic as was the beach where some hounds and their humans had a great time at the edge of the sea. Many thanks to our walk leader Kirsty and all those who organise these lovely walks.

May Walk

Just a reminder that our May walk takes place this coming Sunday (28th) in Frinton on Sea. Meet at 11am at The Lees Frinton on Sea CO13 9NN for a stroll along the sea front to the Pier.

Pete and Eve will be there selling copies of Peters book about his life in entertainment.

All profit from the sale of the book will directly benefit the retired Greyhounds at Dillymore.

Fingers crossed the nice weather holds.

Hollesley Walk

31 greyhounds joined us for a gloriously sunny walk around Hollesley. Among them was kennel boy Max, who behaved admirably on his first trip out of kennels with us. He walked very well on his lead, didn’t react to two shouty labradors or any of the other dogs he met and loved the attention and cuddles. He might also have learned about crisps …
Thank you to Kevin for leading the walk and to everybody who came along for their company.

April Walk

Just a quick reminder that our April walk takes place this coming Sunday. Meet at 11am at The Shepherd and Dog Car Park Hollesley IP12 3QU.

Our supporters Eve and Peter will be attending and will bring along some of Peters books to sell. All profits will be for the benefit of the retired dogs at Dillymore.

Please remember if you would like to eat at The Shepherd and Dog it is advisable to contact them prior to the walk.

Fingers crossed for a nice day.
Update. Unfortunately Peter and Eve are unable to attend the walk tomorrow but hope to be on our next one in Walton on 28th May.

Hadleigh Walk

On Sunday just over twenty greyhounds and their humans had one of their monthly walks. This time we were ably led in very soggy and cold conditions through Hadleigh and along the river. We were then very kindly hosted by The George in Hadleigh where all the dogs enjoyed treats and the humans a variety of refreshments. We were joined by kennel dogs Blake and Fred. It was Fred’s first time out in the real world as he has just retired. He was very well behaved and not bothered when he saw many different breeds of dog but he did got very excited when he met his race owners in the pub.

March Walk

Just a reminder that our March walk takes place in Hadleigh tomorrow.

Meet at the Magdalen Road Car park IP7 5AD at 11am.

We are very welcome at The George after the walk where there are heated outside seating areas.

An Evening Walk in Shotley

Around 40 Greyhounds and their companions joined us for a stroll along the marina and through the village of Shotley. Recently homed Shirley (Valley;s Girl) and Sky (Raging Sky) came along on their first Greyhound walk as pets and Pablo (Another Pablo) whose family homed him straight from his racing owner after loosing their beloved Steel came along to meet us all.

We also welcomed baby Sienna. Congratulations to Lee, Lisa and Kyle.
