On Sunday we had our monthly walk and this time we went to Frinton. We were joined by the lovely Gus (Wearing the orange muzzzle) and Mindy(Wearing the yellow muzzle) who are looking for homes and they were so well behaved seeing lots of other dogs and humans. They made lots of new friends and were fantastic ambassadors. The weather was fantastic as was the beach where some hounds and their humans had a great time at the edge of the sea. Many thanks to our walk leader Kirsty and all those who organise these lovely walks.
31 greyhounds joined us for a gloriously sunny walk around Hollesley. Among them was kennel boy Max, who behaved admirably on his first trip out of kennels with us. He walked very well on his lead, didn’t react to two shouty labradors or any of the other dogs he met and loved the attention and cuddles. He might also have learned about crisps … Thank you to Kevin for leading the walk and to everybody who came along for their company.
On Sunday just over twenty greyhounds and their humans had one of their monthly walks. This time we were ably led in very soggy and cold conditions through Hadleigh and along the river. We were then very kindly hosted by The George in Hadleigh where all the dogs enjoyed treats and the humans a variety of refreshments. We were joined by kennel dogs Blake and Fred. It was Fred’s first time out in the real world as he has just retired. He was very well behaved and not bothered when he saw many different breeds of dog but he did got very excited when he met his race owners in the pub.
Around 40 Greyhounds and their companions joined us for a stroll along the marina and through the village of Shotley. Recently homed Shirley (Valley;s Girl) and Sky (Raging Sky) came along on their first Greyhound walk as pets and Pablo (Another Pablo) whose family homed him straight from his racing owner after loosing their beloved Steel came along to meet us all.
We also welcomed baby Sienna. Congratulations to Lee, Lisa and Kyle.
