Happy New Year to all our friends and supporters! At least 60 greyhounds and 10 canine companions started the year as we mean to go on by walking from from Stutton to Alton Water, then back for tea and cakes.
Huge thanks to Carol and Steve for supplying cake, and for those who helped serve and clear up. We raised nearly £140 in donations.
Kennel dogs Ennis, Socks and Bertie enjoyed the walk and behaved very well. Here’s to finding homes for all the greyhounds in our care, and many more, in 2018.
What a glorious morning for a walk! We lost count a bit but at least 140 greyhounds and 21 other dogs joined us for a walk, mince pies and liver cake.
Kennel dog Dazz enjoyed meeting a load of his friends and behaved admirably (he’ll be appearing on our homeless hounds page soon).
Huge thanks to Annabel for the loan of her beach hut, everybody who cooked sausage rolls and mince pies, made tea/coffee, and Brian for leading the walk.
Thanks also for your generous donations – we raised at least £260 for the care of greyhounds in kennels.
There are plenty more photos on our facebook page. See you all on New Year’s Day at Stutton?
Huge thanks to walk leader Mark and to the warden, Chris, for making today’s walk possible.
