A very short walk in the baking heat, 10 minutes mostly in shade, followed by an indoor picnic in the community hall. Kennel brothers Barry and Ben came along to say hello and enjoyed all the treats. Hugest of thanks to Pat for the food, and to all who braved the heat, and for all your donations.
Not quite as hot as predicted for our evening walk, and with plenty of water, cold towels and cool coats we had an enjoyable walk along the marina and through the village of Shotley Many thanks to The Shipwreck for making us welcome and to those who came along.
SHOTLEY WALK. Temperatures are predicted to be 25 degrees at 7pm on
Friday evening for our walk and are only expected to drop to 22 degrees
by the end of the walk. This is still mightily hot! Avril will be at
the meeting point in case anybody wants to go ahead but her dog Fox will
not be with her. We are loathe to cancel the walk entirely or change
the start time in case not all those intending to come see a
cancellation post. If it does by some miracle cool down considerably we
will be pleased to see you.
65 Sight hounds and 5 of their companions joined us for our walk in Woodbridge today. We welcomed Andy Gillan Head of Welfare at Head Office and Justin and Gemma who are adopting Fabia at the end of the month. Kennel dog Janet joined us and endeared herself to all

A fantastic day for a beautiful riverside walk in Hadleigh this morning. 53 Greyhound and, 3 of their companions took part. Kennel dogs Leo and Seb endeared themselves to everyone. Many thanks to Angie for leading the walk and to The George for making us welcome afterwards.
Our next walk takes place this coming Sunday 24th February at Mistley.
Our March walk will be a lovely riverside walk in Hadleigh dedicated to the memory of Angie’s Husband John Upson who sadly passed away in January. Johnnie was a life long resident of Hadleigh. He adored all of his dogs and when he was well enough would often join us on our walks with his own dogs Alex and Troy. We hope to raise a glass to Johnnie in the George Public House after the walk. Details of all our walks can be found on our What’s on page
Once again we were blessed with good weather for our walk. Over 70 Greyhounds and 9 of their pals joined us for our walk in Stutton today. They were joined by kennel dogs Chico, Leo and Bambi who all behaved well. Little Chico’s tail hardly stopped wagging. Thank you to everyone who helped set up the hall, made refreshments and helped to clear up at the end. For more photos visit our Facebook Page
