We are looking for a very special home for Messi, a very handsome six year old boy who has been returned to Dillymore kennels. He is a greyhound with a few special needs, therefore we are looking for an experienced, firm but kind owner to give him the stability and routine he needs.
Messi is afraid to bark, therefore it is difficult to let his humans know when he needs to go out, especially at ni
ght. He doesn’t like to be left alone for long periods. He needs to go to a home where he can be let out regularly, even overnight. He is an anxious dog and is a fussy eater, it is difficult to keep weight on him.
He is an opportunist escape artist and is very keen around cats and small furries, so his new human will need to be somebody who keeps an eye on him at all times, never leaving an outside door open, never giving him an opportunity to slip 
away. He needs a very secure garden – preferably totally enclosed without a gate, or with a gate that is kept locked from the inside at all times.
Apart from that, Messi loves attention and he loves his teddies, he’s a big gentle boy who just wants a home where he can be loved again. He has been homed with another greyhound so doesn’t need to be an only dog.
All greyhounds are neutered, have had their teeth cleaned and are inoculated. They each leave us with a new coat, collar and lead, muzzle, wormers and flea treatment. They are all microchipped, details are transferred to the new owner. They also have four weeks free Petplan insurance.
