Today we have been to the Robin Hood show held at Trinity Park Ipswich. Kennel dogs Jacob, Claire and Kenny joined us. This was Kenny’s first time at a show but after a shy start he did well. He was particularly well behaved around other dogs and showed no interest in a ferret on a lead! We will be there again tomorrow so do come along and say hello if you are going. Bunny’s home check was successful and she has now hopped off to her forever home with her new Lurcher friends. Good luck Bunny xx
Today was a special day at kennels. Our longest stayer Moody finally went home with his forever family. We were so pleased for him it brought a lump to the throat and tears to the eyes when waving him off.
His space on the homeless hounds page was soon taken by the lovely Kenny. Only just four years old Kenny has spent most of his life at Dillymore and is a kennel favourite.
Bunny, who only arrived last week has been reserved and will be going home tomorrow all being well with her home check. She is going to live with two lovely Lurchers.
Beautiful blue litter sisters Bella and Tilly arrived today. Lovely friendly girls who seem at home at Dillymore already.
Take a look at our Homeless Hounds page for more details of them and Mondays new arrivals Cracker and Bunny.
Many thanks to Louis and Linda for arranging a dance in aid of Greyhound Homer. Their hard work resulted in a fantastic £400 being raised. Our thanks to all who donated raffle prizes and gave such generous donations. It is very much appreciated.
So many of our lovely hounds have either gone home or have been reserved in the last few weeks. Please keep checking our homeless pages though because we will shortly be adding more dogs. Coming soon are Black and White boy Cracker and Black girl Bunny along with several others.
Update 03/10/16 Bunny and Cracker have arrived!
The last few days have seen Dexter, Betty and Joker all go off to their forever homes. Good luck guys you go with much love from us all. We hope to see you at one of our walks or shows.
At last! It’s the moment we have all been waiting for. Moody our longest stayer has finally been reserved. We are so happy for this lovely lad and have everything crossed that the home check will be fine. It was his calm nature and good boy walking on his lead that did it.
It was a good afternoon at kennels today as the lovely Rockie was also reserved pending his home check.
Huge thanks to Sharon and Mike for leading a gorgeously sunny September walk with 43 dogs (40 greyhounds we think!). Thanks to all who came along – it was especially lovely to see so many of our recently homed greyhounds enjoying their retirement. Kennel dog Claire had a lovely day out and behaved very well too.

We have now counted all of the money kindly donated by John Wolton and his family and friends. John opted for money for the greyhounds in lieu of presents on the occasion of his 50th birthday. The total amount raised was an amazing £410.68. A big thank you to John and his family and friends.
We are grateful to all of our supporters for their contributions whether they be monetary donations, cake making, time giving, arranging events for us or attending our walks and shows to help us promote greyhounds. We couldn’t do what we do without you. Thank you all very much indeed.
