New Kids on the Block

We have two new boys on our homeless hounds pages this week.  Barney and Boycie.  Both little stunners, take a look at their profiles, you won’t be able to resist them.

Weekend News – May Bank Holiday

It was a busy morning at kennels on Saturday.  Blake went off to start his new life in Wiltshire and Charlie and Jock were both reserved pending home checks.  Diva who went home last week has been reluctantly returned.  Her love affair with the incumbent dog was unfortunately short lived. So she is back on our homeless page.  Better to have loved and lost and all that….
Our special boy Will had a walk around Alton Water with Volunteer Avril and her dog Fox.  He then went back to their house for chicken and liver cake.  Will is getting braver week by week and we will be seeking a kind and understanding home for him once he has had his man op.

Hadleigh Walk

Another beautiful day for our walks around Hadleigh this morning. Kennel dogs Jock, Pearl and Carrie joined the other 45 greyhounds and friends and all behaved extremely well. Carrie sadly had to be returned to us when her owner became very ill so is now looking for a new home. Once again we were made very welcome at the George. Many thanks to the Landlady and her staff. Thanks also to Anne and Angie for leading the walks. For more photos from today’s walk please visit our Facebook page.

Heather Jackson and Oscar go for a Jaunt

Kennel dogs Heather, Jackson and Oscar went for a beautiful walk around the woods in Bentley today.  Their friends Bocko, Lottie, Sophie and Joe were on hand to show them the ropes when they met horses, tractors and other breeds of dogs.  They then stopped for a swift half in the Case is Altered community pub.  Thank you to Michelle and her family for leading the way.
