Born in August 2016 Quinny (Racing name Swift Tarquin) has spent his successful racing career here at Dillymore. Quinny is a bit of a character and a real kennel favourite. If he hadn’t have made it as a racer he could certainly have excelled at high jump. He gets so excited when he sees the staff going to his kennel with his dinner or his lead he jumps right to the top of his kennel door. Quinny can be quite shy when he meets new people and in new situations and so we think he would benefit from a quiet adult home with experienced Greyhound owners.
Update 03/04/21 Due to current restrictions Quinny hasn’t been out and about much but he has been having a great time at kennels. He has been playing with new toys, learning to play the ‘ball pit game’, enjoying lots of fuss and grooming. He has made great friends with Barbara his favourite volunteer. There are a couple of videos of Quinny on our Facebook page.
Update 24/04/21 Quinny has grown in confidence around new people and new situations in recent weeks. Although he still hasn’t been out of kennels he has walked nicely with Lottie the Lurcher, behaved well with Sam the Labrador and greeted some of our visitors with a bounce and a wagging tail.
Update 26/07/21 Quinny has been out and about around the village and behaved well, not fazed by different breeds of dogs, a little shy in heavy traffic but still walked nicely on his lead. He watched a local football matcH and wasn’t perturbed by the noise of the players or the crowd.

All greyhounds are neutered, have had their teeth cleaned and are inoculated. They each leave us with a collar and lead, muzzle and their worming and flea treatments up to date. They are all microchipped, details are transferred to the new owner. They also have four weeks free insurance.
