Felixstowe Boxing Day 26th December 11am
Languard Fort, Viewpoint Road, Felixstowe IP11 3TW
Undoubtedly our best attended walk of the year. Come along and walk off the Christmas pud and blow away the cobwebs as we walk through the Nature reserve and along the beach. As always refreshments will be served in the fort after the walk.
Please note there is a parking charge .

Stutton. New Years Day 1st January 2024 11am

Join us for a walk to Alton Water. For those preferring a shorter walk we will lead one around the local footpaths.
All are welcome at the Community Hall after the walk for refreshments

Highwoods Country Park Colchester. Sunday 28th January 11am
The Visitor Centre, Turner Road Colchester CO4 3BT
A walk around the park which we haven’t done for a very long time. There is a small charge for parking. Refreshments are available in the Visitor Centre Cafe.

Mistley. Sunday 25th February 11am
Mistley Park Place, New Road Mistley, Manningtree CO11 1ER
Always popular with two walks being organised. The shorter walk will take in the river front and the longer the woods up to Furze Hill and Old Knobbley.
We will ask for a small donation, perhaps £1? for the use of the Park car park..

A stunningly beautiful walk across Suffolk Heath land.
We are always welcome at The Shepherd and Dog where drinks and food are available after the walk.

One of our most popular walks taking in the local footpaths and the river. In the past we have been made very welcome in the garden of The George and hopefully this will be the case again this year.

Please meet at near the main entrance of the Mill Hotel for a picturesque walk by the river. Car parking can be found close to the meeting point in either Stour Street or Mill Lane.

Given the warm summers we have had of late we have organised two evening walks this year.
The first through woodland and along the beautiful Nacton Shore.

Shotley. Friday 26th July 7pm
Shotley Marina, Shotley Gate, IP9 1QJ
Please meet opposite The Shipwreck for our second evening walk, this time along the Marina, taking in the views up and down the estuaries, around the footpaths and through the village.
Drinks are available at The Shipwreck but if you want to eat it is advisable to ring in advance to check availability.

Stutton. 25th August 2pm for our Annual Picnic
The Community Hall, Manningtree Road Stutton IP9 2TA
Do come and join us for our annual picnic. Again there will be two walks as in January. Refreshments will be available for all including our four legged friends in the hall after the walk.
In the event of excessive heat we won’t walk but the dogs can be taken for a quick toilet break in the shade of the small wood to the rear of the hall and then we can just tuck into the goodies!

Woodbridge. Sunday 29th September 11am
The Deben Leisure Centre, Station Road, Woodbridge IP12 4AY Please note there is a parking charge.
Please join us if you can because this walk forms part of the Great Global Greyhound Walk. Nearly 12,000 dogs worldwide took part last year, it’s a wonderful way to promote them. We will walk along the river to the Tea Hut where we are always made very welcome. If you would like to eat at the Tea Hut please ring in advance on 01394 384538

Another of our most popular walks around the lake and local area. There is a cafe in the car park for refreshments and a get together after the walk.

This picturesque walk through the Suffolk countryside used to be one of our most popular walks and one we haven’t done for a very long time. It will be lovely to revisit this beautiful area.

Come rain or shine this is our biggest walk of the year. Come along and join us, blow away the cobwebs and walk off the Christmas pud with a bracing but hopefully dry walk through the nature reserve and along the beach.
Refreshments will be available in the fort after the walk. We may even have a raffle.
