Kennel dogs Ruby and Blue had a morning out of kennels today. They paced out the Mistley short walk in readiness for Sunday 22nd. Ruby thought the half an hour it took was just about right for a mature lady such as herself (Ruby is 11 years old). Both dogs behaved impeccably and were friendly towards everyone they met including a terrier and small fluffy dog. Visit them on our homeless hounds page for more photos.
Just a little reminder that our next play date takes place this Sunday (15th) from 2pm to 4pm at Kembroke Kennels, Wattermill Road, Bucklesham. IP10 0BU.
Greyhound Walks warmly invite you to join them on a walk at Sudbury water meadows on Sunday 15th May. Details can be found on their website www.greyhoundwalks.co.uk
Here is Holden on his first ever holiday. He went to Scotland with his owner Jamie and had a glorious time. Holden and Jamie have formed such a strong bond already and Holden is allowed to walk off lead as he hardly leaves Jamie’s side.
L.J as you can see is settling into home life already. Not much fazes this handsome young man. He is making friends wherever he goes. He is giving lots of hugs and kisses to his new family and has his own sofa to sleep on. Superstar is how they are describing him.
Great news! Champ has gone to his forever home. He will be spoiled rotten and be absolutely adored by his two new greyhound sisters.
Our next walk will take place on Sunday 22nd May at Mistley. We will be leading two walks. A short one for the elderly or less able dogs which will also be wheelchair / pushchair friendly and our normal longer route. Both starting and finishing at Mistley Place Park cafe. Please see our walks section for full details.
Wow! What a week Opal has had. First she went to the Vets and had her dental procedure, she then went to recover at a foster home and made friends with two other greyhounds. When she returned to kennels today she had had a visitor and she was reserved! Brilliant outcome for this lovely girl after her she had to be returned due to a bereavement.
Brilliant news for Billy who has been in foster care. His foster carers have fallen for him, hook line and sinker and he has now been adopted by them. We are all so pleased for this lovely Gentleman of a dog who unfortunately had to be returned when his elderly owner became too ill to care for him.
Here is Bernie now called Bonnie happily sunning herself in her garden. She went to her forever home in March and has settled into retired life very well.
