Another Saturday and today the Dillymore Gang made a guest appearance at the kind invitation of Tescos at Highwoods Square.
Our stars of the day were Hugo (Hard Days Night) and Nicki (Vespar Lynd), who were accompanied by their ambassador friends Martha and Charlie, thanks to their owners Pete, Veronica and Leigh for bringing them out to play.
Our now retired Volunteers Keith and Ann brought along former Ambassador Wisp to see us as did recently homed Sadie’s family, Sadie did really well, she met up with her walking Buddy and mentor Martha.
The wonderful Hugo (affectionally known as “The Dillymore Gigalo”) is a complete flirt and as the pictures show, no-one is immune to his charisma, with his beautiful coat, handsome stance and the most endearing personality, he is a complete magnet for both young and old. He absolutely revelled in the admiring comments and the many hugs he received throughout the day.
Our beautiful Nicki, with her gentle manner, demure and slender frame, was a delight and brought a calmness to the day and is a favourite with all the volunteers.
We had a wonderful day, made all the more special by the kindness of the many Tesco customers and staff who kindly stopped to have a chat, greet the dogs, ask about the process of rehoming and graciously gave donations totalling £173.88 We (us and especially the dogs) thank you so much for the kindness you showed to us today. We met some lovely people and on days like today if lifts our spirits.
A special thank you of course goes to Tesco at Highwoods Square and we do hope that we may visit you again next year.
