Well what a scorcher of a day for the Suffolk Greyhound Trust Volunteers!
A big thanks to the Organisers of this Fete for kindly inviting us and it was lovely to see so many of you today… the tombola was a real hit with you all and we couldn’t believe how lucky you all were, picking out those winning tickets… the prizes were flying off the table!
To the lady who won the multi coloured lead, we think it’s a training lead with multiple points for length or for multi point connection to a harness.
As Volunteers, we had a big greyhound shaped hole in our hearts today, as we made the decision to leave our wonderful furry friends in the coolness of their kennels.
We were, however, so happy to briefly see newly re-homed “Buster” who kindly came along for a brief appearance, with his proud parents, Gill and Geoff. He has recently become one our newest ambassadors.
Buster was an absolute star today, under the shade of the trees and gazebo, happy to be cuddled and he certainly caught the attention of many of you who stopped for a stroke and to ask about the homing process.

Our greyhound ambassadors have such an important job in spreading the word about how wonderful this breed is, in showing us all just how sensitive, calm and huggable they are.
