Sleep Tight Echo (Freston)

It is with heavy hearts we must post the terrible news that Echo whose kennel name was Freston has crossed the Rainbow Bridge after being diagnosed with cancer which caused fluid around his heart. What a happy boy with a big heart he was.

Echo only went home in February after his owner Peter and his Lurcher Cassie came to visit kennels. Neither wanted to meet any other dogs, it was love at first sight and they just knew he was the boy for them.

Our Volunteers were so very fond of Echo and this is reflected in some of the lovely comments they have made after learning of his passing. “A beaut of a dog with a wonderful personality” said one. “One of the most affectionate and loving pups I’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with” said another. Another summed him up so aptly when he was in kennels when she said “If Freston were human he’s that friend who listens, supports and is always there for you with unconditional love”

Our hearts go out to Peter and Cassie and Echo’s Uncle John who introduced him to them.

Dearest Echo shine as brightly on your side of the bridge as you did on ours. A piece of you will remain in the hearts of all who loved you. xx
