Wow! What a day! We were rushed off our feet talking about our greyhounds with potential new owners and old friends. The sun shone, and the steady stream of visitors to our stall did not stop all day.

Kennel dogs Puffa, who got through to the last 14 in the very large Best Rescue class is seen here exhausted after her busy day. Queenie had a lovely day away from kennels – she showed us that she wants to friends with everybody and worked hard to make sure that everybody knows how amazing greyhounds are all day, she didn’t want to miss out on anything.

We have had a busy but fingers crossed successful day at the Tendring Show. Kennel dogs Mac and Dexter had their first outing and both behaved extremely well. Mac has a blind date next Saturday and if it goes well he will be going home! We were visited by lots of our homed dogs and their owners and four old friends Kevin, Sally, Lily and Ty came along to say hi. It was lovely to see you all.

The dog extravaganza at Stonham Barns has been cancelled due to flooding.  They will be announcing a new date soon.

Another cold day at the Suffolk Show – in previous years we had packed sunglasses and sunscreen, this year was all about layers, hot chocolate and preventing things from blowing around in the wind. It didn’t stop kennel dogs Steel and Kat from having a fantastic day out though! They were both very well behaved all day, lapping up attention and enjoying meeting humans and other dogs alike.

Below – here’s Steel relaxing and enjoying all the attention that a handsome, laid back boy deserves. He was a little overwhelmed at the start of the day but soon relaxed.

Let’s hope that Steel and Kat’s efforts find them homes, along with many homes for their friends in kennels.

Well it was a miserable day weather wise for the first day of the Suffolk show, but that didn’t dampen our spirits.  We had lots of visitors and met friends old and new.  We even did a spot of dog sitting.  Phantom and Lulu made themselves so comfy on the stand they decided their owners could go off and enjoy a few hours at the show without them.  Jan the kennel dog proudly wore her please adopt me coat and after a shy start soon got into the swing of things.  If you are visiting the show tomorrow do come and say hello we are on 11th Avenue.

On Sunday kennel dogs Bonnie and Steel went to the greyhound extravaganza held at the Animal Health Trust Newmarket.  They had a great time meeting lots of other dogs as well as families.  Both were really well behaved, traveled well and walked nicely on their leads.

On Saturday we attended the Hadleigh show.  Kennel dogs Ruby and Blue came along in the morning and Davey and Sprite spent the afternoon with us.  All four of them enjoyed lots of fuss and attention from the visitors to the stall and all made friends with various other breeds of dogs.
