Another day trip out for our furry friends and volunteers and what a day we’ve had. A massive thank you to the Organisers of the Burstall Show for entrusting us with the dog show and we hope we didn’t disappoint.
Wonderful to see so many of you today (with more than 40 dogs) entering across our 8 classes from “The Dog with the Waggiest tail” to the “Prettiest Bitch” and so fantastic to see our younger human handlers proudly parading around the ring with their gorgeous furry 4 legged friends, truly special. Our judge for the afternoon, the brilliant Mr John Mullins (Manager of Dillymore) had quite a task, especially with the Musical “Sit”, as all were so wonderfully behaved.
Accompanying us briefly today (the weather being just that little too hot for our greyhound buddies) were Orchid, Carlos and Timmy. As usual the gang were beautifully behaved and enjoyed meeting old and young alike. By now, for those of you who follow our travels, it is events such as these which provide the opportunity for us to introduce these sweet and gentle animals to the public in the hope that we can secure their forever homes. Please do take a look at the Suffolk Greyhound Website or follow us on Facebook for those dogs currently looking for that cosy sofa.
Thank you also to our lovely Ambassadors, Martha, Arthur and Jessica. It’s always lovely to see you with your humans.
With rosettes presented for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places, along with gifts and goodies (thanks to Gladwells & Supreme Petfoods), across all categories, we ended the afternoon with judging of “Best in Show” and “Reserve Best in Show”.
We loved seeing you all today at our stand and thank you all for your support whether buying treat bags, cuddly toys, or taking part in our tombola (it always proves so popular, it is quite amazing).
It was an honour today for Suffolk Greyhound Trust to be part of this show – Burstall is a pretty special village.
